Shakiyla was born in April 26.At the age of 4 she began to sing.At 6 she began dancing.At the age of 13 she joined the group Angel with her friend Lynzee and Others.At the age of 14 she purchased her first guitar and began learning to play.Now that she is now 15 going on 16 she is changing her style and the way she writes.Shakiyla is now learning how to play other instruments such as the keyboard and drums.Some of her favorites,likes and hobbies are singing,dancing,fashion,writing music,playing the paino and guitar.She loves doing her nails in colors such as black, green, white, blue ,red,hot pink and other brighter vibrant colors.Some of her influences would have to be Cassie Steele(Degrassi),Lacey Mosely(Flyleaf),Amy Lee(Evanescene) and other singers.Many latin singers also influence her like Shakira,Selena and Paulina Rubio. When Shakiyla turned 15 she grew into her new nickname Shay which to her means "Becoming My Own" or "Growing Into Age".Shakiyla feels music is a way to express emotions or just when your bored or when you feel inspired she loves to write songs.On rainy days Shakiyla loves to write songs or create music she also feels thats also a creativty booster.Friends and Family all agree Shakiyla is fun to be around she's a goof off at times but she also can be a very serious,caring person.If you wanna know more about Shakiyla read below
